We all enjoy music and can relate to the effects of uncomfortable sounds like screeching on a chalkboard. Sound is also known to influence mood change and environmental ambiance. The human voice has also been used throughout the ages to heal body and mind; chanting and toning used by priests and priestesses in African, Eastern and Western philosophies.

It is for this reason that Beyond Hypnosis sessions include various types of sounds in tandem with light therapy. Light and Sound frequencies entrain our brain waves to induce  desired states illustrated below:

Beta between 13 – 40 Hz

Alpha between 7 – 13 Hz

Theta between 4 – 7 Hz

Delta between 0 – 4 Hz

Solfeggio, Binaural beats and Isochronic tones

Binaural beats and Isochronic tones are frequency-specific. Certain frequencies relate to certain brain wave patterns and therefore certain feelings(Guided Meditation Treks, 2017).

Solfeggio frequencies make up the ancient 6-tone scale thought to have been used in sacred music, including the beautiful and well known Gregorian Chants. The chants and their special tones were believed to impart spiritual blessings when sung in harmony. Each Solfeggio tone is comprised of a frequency required to balance your energy and keep your body, mind and spirit in perfect harmony (Attuned Vibrations, 2017).

The “healing frequencies” used in music therapy are 174 Hz, 285 Hz, 396 Hz, 417 Hz, 444 Hz, 528 Hz, 639 Hz, 741 Hz, and 852 Hz. 963 Hz,
