This week’s Selah Monday Morning Meditation is an invitation to rest. After several weeks of practicing awareness, intention, emotional regulation, and self-mastery, we turn toward the Hebrew word Menuchah, meaning rest, repose, and a resting place.
Psalm 23 gives us the beautiful expression mei menuchot — “waters of rest,” often translated as “still waters.”
In this guided meditation, there is nothing to solve, fix, analyze, or achieve. You are simply invited to breathe, receive, and allow yourself to rest.
We explore:
🌿 Stillness without pressure
🌿 Rest without guilt
🌿 Letting thoughts come and go
🌿 Allowing the body to soften
🌿 Finding your own “still water” within
Sometimes choosing life means moving forward.
Sometimes it means taking action.
And sometimes choosing Ha-Chayyim means allowing ourselves to rest.
This Week’s Invitation
Find your still water.
Once each day, give yourself a few minutes where you are not trying to improve anything.
Sit quietly.
Breathe.
Listen.
Receive.
Let the moment be enough.
Pause. Breathe. Receive. Choose Ha-Chayyim. Live.
Selah. 🌿
