Making Space for JOY: Simchah

So what else is here? 🌿

Sometimes one worry, disappointment, loss, or unresolved situation can become so large that it fills the entire screen of our awareness.

This morning in our Selah Monday Morning Meditation, we explored Simchah — joy.

Not forced happiness. Nor pretending everything is okay. Simply widening the lens enough to notice that the difficult thing may not be the only thing present.

There may be uncertainty and possibility.
Grief and gratitude.
Something that needs our attention and something beautiful sitting right beside it.

The difficult thing deserves whatever attention it genuinely requires. But it doesn’t automatically deserve all of our attention.

So this week, when something begins filling your entire screen, acknowledge it:

“This is here.”

Then ask:

“What else is here?”

🎧 Today’s meditation is now in the Selah Monday Morning Meditation playlist.
